Interpersonal Psychotherapy
We are inherently relational beings, and our deepest longings and fears center around connection, disconnection, and our ability to feel secure and safe in our internal and external environments.
The intention of our work together is to unwind the layers of connection and disconnection, suppressed emotion, nervous system dysregulation patterns and adaptive protection behaviors around relating to the self and others.
The goal of our work together is to create a safe, curious space to explore the deeper feelings, beliefs, needs, and expressions that are developed throughout one's life and experiences, such that they can be witnessed, processed, and integrated in ways that allow for a person to resume a more conscious state of development and growth.
The focus of our time together will include:
Processing and integrating trauma or difficult life experiences
Learning and practicing strategies to regulate the nervous system
Building a secure attachment base and understanding the experiences that contribute to insecure and avoidant expressions
Integrating incomplete developmental patterns
Learning how to reparent inner parts
Noticing and shifting adaptive patterns that are no longer aligning with identified values
